I had such high hopes. I was super excited to get this compact, attractive drive in the mail.Too bad for me. This drive is 300 times slower than the advertised Firewire 800 standard. I attempted to transfer 100GB. The dialogue box said, "Estimated time to copy: 4 days". In case you're counting, that is a measly 2.3Mb/s! Firewire 800 is supposed to be 786Mb/s.Something is clearly very wrong with this product. In looking at other reviews, I see that others have had this same problem. Perhaps it's just that some of them are defective? I would exchange it, but the seller doesn't offer exchanges. Have already filed for a refund.
